What is modern ballet dance?
Beginner Classical Ballet
(3 to 5 years old)
This is a creative Dance class, it is the first level of an early childhood dance program and will introduce very young children to the basic elements of ballet, dance and movement. Students will learn to dance both as individuals and as a member of a group as they develop rhythm, coordination, flexiblity, creativity, expression, imagination, self-awareness, and self-confidence.
Children learn the basics of classroom behavior and manners such as learning how to take turns, following or leading, waiting patiently, working with others, and having a positive attitude. Our students are trained in the concepts of movement sequencing, patterning, and spatial relationships which also lays a strong foundation for the later development of mathematics, reading, and other academic subjects
Beginner Classical Ballet
(6 to 9 years old)
This class is designed for the novice dancer with no previous experience or the student who wants to refine their technique at a basic level. Students will learn the basic positions, correct body alignment with both hands on the barre and an introduction to basic ballet terminology.
plus the introduction to contemporary movements technique and corporal expression into choreographies.
Advanced classical Ballet
(9 to 14 years old)
This is the perfect level for dancers who have some prior knowledge of barre and centre work, plus contemporary movements technique and corporal expression into choreographies.
Meet our ballet coach
Sira is an experienced Spanish/ Colombian Dancer with more than 20 years of professional practice and 10 plus years of international teaching. She has been teaching ballet in Qatar for the last 7 years to children aged 3 to 17, and diverse styles of Dance to adults, such as Latin, African, Modern, Aero dance, etc. Ballet has been her real life and passion since she was 5 years-old. She breathes and loves dance, which she is able to transfer so easily to her students. She is a firm believer that ballet and dance lessons are a fun way for her students to learn self-responsibility and set high expectations for their own targets and achievements early in their life.
Group and individual choreographies and management or small and complex art projects are part of her CV, as much as patient teaching, charm and passion for her work are.
She holds a Dance Movement Therapist and a Personal Trainer Certificates with experience in Ballet, Contemporary, Freestyle/ Improvisation, Flamenco, Jazz, Modern, Latin, Waltz, etc.
