ADAPTED PHYSICAL
ACTIVITIES (APA)

Sport can play a key role in the lives of people with and without disabilities. Children with Special Needs are children first with the same needs and desires as their peers. The difference is that some of them need adaptations and extra support. Trough physical and learning activities, these children can benefit from having a balance in all aspects of their life: social, physical and mental.

SFQ will be part of an inclusive community that supports equality and promotes a safe, positive and challenging environment for our customers through sports and learning activities.

We have high expectations of all children which, we believe, helps them to realize their potential. These high expectations will be supported by coaches, many of whom will have specialist qualifications in the education of children with learning difficulties.

We will have a team of an internationally recognized frontline workforce. All of our staff will have a frontline specialist field of work and will be working with and for children with sports special needs and their families.
We will provide direct support on a regular basis to children aged from 5 years to 11 years old who have learning difficulties and/or sports special needs such as physical, intellectual, learning and development disabilities like ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder).

• Will increase appetite and improve quality of sleep.
• Will see a decrease in secondary health complications like obesity, high blood pressure, low HDL (“good”) cholesterol and diabetes.
• Will find an outlet for their physical energy, will help them cope with stress, anxiety and depression.
